Here I am, living in one of the world's most famous cities again. This time, I am trying to make something of myself in the communications field as an intern at a lifestyle magazine.
I'm becoming more sophisticated.....right? With just a few minutes to walk to Georgetown Cupcake (which I still have't tried) and a JCrew I think I may be in my element.
Unfortunately, I do come off as a rookie at the city life when I expect that I can walk to work wearing my nice new black flats....Newsflash! There is no such thing as comfortable/stylish work shoes/walking shoes. Judging from the size of the tender blisters on my feet, I'll be wearing my comfortable sandals to and from work from now on. Tacky?
